Retronauts Assemble: Our Retro Computing Meetup

Retronauts Assemble – Retro Computing & Gaming Event for everyone

The UK has fantastic retro computing communities, but most focus on a single platform. Retronauts Assemble is different.

We have created a new multi-platform retro computing meet-up where fans of all retro computers, consoles and arcade systems can come together to share their passion, discover new machines, swap stories, show off projects and enjoy a day immersed in classic technology.

Whether you’re into the Amiga, Spectrum, BBC Micro, Commodore 64, Atari, Acorn, Apple II, Classic Mac, Sega, Nintendo or Sony arcade systems, or anything else retro, you’ll find fellow enthusiasts who share your love of vintage computing and gaming.

Bring your own retro machines and let others experience your favourite system or just come along and enjoy your childhood passion or kit you only ever dreamed of! Every machine, every display and every attendee helps to make the event something special.

Retronauts Assemble is held at St Mark’s Church Hall:

    When

Retronauts Assemble typically runs from 10am to 6pm. Dates happen a few times a year — check the ticket page for the next confirmed date, and see “Past & upcoming events” below for previous meetups.

    How it works

There are two ticket types, so you can come along either way:

    • Table Ticket — if you’d like to bring a computer or other equipment along to show off, this gets you table space to set it up.
    • No Table Ticket — if you just want to come along, browse what’s on show and meet other retro computing fans.

    What to bring

If you’ve got a Table Ticket and you’re bringing kit along, a few essentials:

    • Your computer(s) or console(s) — anything from computing history is welcome
    • A power strip — table power is shared, so bring your own extension/multi-socket
    • Curiosity — come ready to see what everyone else has brought
    • Enthusiasm — that’s really all you need beyond the kit itself

    Upcoming events

The inaugural Retronauts Assemble took place on 31st October 2026 — read more and get tickets on the event page, or watch the video announcement from the channel.

More dates will be added here as they’re announced — check back, or follow the YouTube channel for the latest.

The inaugural Retronauts Assemble event! Get your tickets below.

    About the event

This is the inaugural Retronauts Assemble event, taking place on 31st October 2026 (wooo, spooky! 👻). It’s a gathering for anyone with an interest in retro computers, computing, games and software.

The event is entirely platform agnostic — whether you’re into the Amiga, Atari, Commodore, Sinclair, IBM PCs, classic consoles or anything else from computing history, you’re invited to bring along ANY computing platform you wish and share it with fellow enthusiasts.

To make that possible, there are two ticket types:

    • Table Ticket — if you’d like to bring a computer or other equipment along to show off, this gets you table space to set it up.
    • No Table Ticket — if you just want to come along, browse what’s on show and meet other retro computing fans.

Flawed Genius: The ZZ9000AX Amiga Audio card is GOOD, but it has issues!

When I reviewed the MNT ZZ9000 RTG card, it completely blew me away—so I had to try the ZZ9000AX audio expansion companion! Plugging directly into the main card, this little card promises seamless Paula passthrough, CD Quality AHI audio and direct MP3 hardware decoding via MHI. It all looks amazing on paper, but putting it through its paces in the cabin revealed a few prominent niggles.
