    My XP era vintage Dell Dimension E520 upgrades, left it’s Zotac GT 730 with no PC slot bracket. Could my new Bambu Lab H2D and Autodesk Fusion have come to the rescue!? I’m going to model a precision replacement bracket in Fusion and print a high quality solution that will get that Zotac card securely locked into its slot.

    This 20 year old Dell E520 Windows XP PC, was abandoned on a kerb side and does not work. Can it arise from the flames? Maybe, but we will have to fix its broken wings! We will repair it’s bulging and leaking caps, upgrade its PSU and fit a powerful nVidia graphics card (or two!). The mission is to restore this old PC and make it into an era busting vintage XP gaming power-house. But first we must get some kind of pulse from this vintage DELL.

    My vintage Macintosh LC475, an important machine in Apple Computer History, has poor video and on top of this it’s capacitors are ALL leaking, causing damage to its logic board! It really NEEDS restoration. So we need to get into this machine urgently, to get those caps replaced (ideally without pcb pad repair) and then do some troubleshooting and fault diagnosis to find a fix for its ailing video output! Oh, and for good measure, we’ll “overclock” it from 25MHz to 40MHz!

    Let’s make an adapter to install JiffyDOS in my recently repaired 1541. I’ll also show you how to burn the EPROM and of course assemble the adapter. The Commodore 1541 was notoriously slow. But it can certainly be faster! Installing JiffyDOS in a 1541 is an upgrade everyone can do, as JiffyDOS also gives you improved DOS commands, allowing for MUCH easier interactions with you drive.
